Anaheim — Recently I visited the Angel Stadium in Anaheim for the first time. I wasn’t there for a baseball game, or even SoCal Harvest. That day, the Big A stood for Autism Awareness.
Walk Now for Autism Speaks: Orange County is a large annual event that hosts thousands of people united in fighting against autism.
Normally my travel choices have nothing to do with good causes, but at an autism walk you can have a great time at popular landmark and help others as well. Originally I was only going to go to the event as a volunteer photographer, but I thought it would be a good idea to bring the whole family. My son was diagnosed with autism years ago, and while his didn’t seem like other types of autism I have seen, I thought he could benefit a lot from it.
